Try these 3 healthy foods to satisfy your sweet tooth:

1. Bananas

Sweet fruits contain natural sugar but they are packed with vitamins, minerals and have a fairly high fiber content. Use banana in your baked goods or smoothies can provide natural sweetness without forcing your body to flip on the fat switch.

Bananas combine well with low-sugar berries so you can mix bananas with strawberries, blueberries or raspberries. A banana and a handful of nuts also make a delicious snack to fulfill your sweet cravings.

Sweet potatoes are high in fiber so your blood sugar won’t spike too much when eating sweet potatoes. Sweet potatoes are also a good source of vitamin A, vitamin C and vitamin B6.

You can boil, roast or steam sweet potatoes until tender. To enhance its sweetness, cut into wedges and roast with a small amount of coconut oil and a pinch of cinnamon.


3. Medjool dates

Dates are intensely sweet and can be used as a healthy alternative to sugar in baking and smoothies. Dates also contain essential minerals like potassium, magnesium and zinc.
